Founders Academy specializes in engaging and exciting Live! instruction classes.
Using a biblical perspective, we bring Economics and Government to life.
Dynamic class discussions, intriguing projects and a focus on current events will help your student to remember the material.
Given the headlines we read today, there is no better time to give your student a firm foundation in free market economics and Constitutional liberty.
Government and Economics are both traditional 16-week courses, and are great for Junior High and High School students.
We will study Government in the fall, and Economics in the spring.
Class will be conducted at The Homeschool Campus of OC
Mondays beginning August 22nd from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Pacific Time – * Please see the HSC web site for holidays, etc.

What we'll cover in Government
- Founding documents including Mayflower Compact, Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution
- Selections from the Federalist Papers and Anti-Federalist Papers
- Famous speeches and writings of the Founders
- Students will comment weekly on a political current event, and compile a Current Events Notebook
- Political Philosophies Research
- Presidential Candidate Research
- Complete an outline of the Constitution
What we'll cover in Economics
- Study the principles of the free market and 'virtuous capitalism'
- Weekly readings and quizzes
- Students will comment weekly on an economic current event, and compile a Current Events Notebook
- Stock Market Project
- Grocery Store 101 project
- Students will complete a Personal Finance Project
*Courses are designed to satisfy homeschool high school graduation credits.
