Character Lessons I Learned in the Yard

A mom recently posted a photo of her young daughter out on the front sidewalk cleaning off the leaves with a blower. Her daddy was walking closely behind her. A commenter said, “Poor little girl.” I’ve heard that about kids and hard work since I was that little girl’s age. You see, that little girl used to be me. I spent hours working hard in the yard with my dad, and now that I’m an adult, I recognize the great character lessons I learned in the yard.

No Child Ever Died From Doing Yard Work

Far from being a “poor little girl,” I was really a blessed little girl.
